Dear Jesus, help me to spread Your fragrance everywhere I go.

Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life.  Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of you.

The Blessed Virgin said: “You love Me and make others love Me.” This revised edition of the Pieta Prayer Booklet is dedicated to Thee Dear Lady of Ephesus as an act of love to honor thine Assumption.  “I am all thine,  my Queen and Mother and all that I have is Thine”.


PURPOSE
Scripture says:  “Pray without ceasing.”  St. Paul of the Cross wrote: “We enter on the broad road of perdition when we neglect prayer.”  Dr. Alexis Carrel wrote:  “If you make a habit of prayer, your life will be profoundly altered.”  As a scientist he turned to prayer as man’s highest activity; that conversation with God to be an art of all arts.

May this Pieta Prayer Booklet serve as a spiritual tool for souls who wish to increase their daily prayer life.  May the Dear Angels who carried the Holy House of Loreto carry this booklet to all persons who wish to pray more after reciting the daily rosary.

Revealed by Our Lord to Saint Bridget of Sweden In the Church of St. Paul at Rome

Magnificent Promises to Saint Bridget of Sweden

Pope Benedict XV expressed himself as follows on the Revelations of St. Bridget:
“The approbation of such revelations implies nothing more than, after mature examination, it is permissible to publish them for the unit of the faithful.  Though they don’t merit the same credence as the truths of religion, one can, however, believe them out of human faith, conforming to the rules of prudence by which they are probable, and supported by sufficient motives that one might believe in them piously.

The 14th of June 1303, at the moment Bridget was born, Benedict, the curate of Rasbo, prayed for the happy deliverance of Ingeborde.  Suddenly he found himself enveloped by a luminous cloud out of which Our Lady appeared:
“A child has been born at Birger; her voice will be heard by the entire world.”

These prayers and these Promises have been copied from a book printed in Toulouse in 1740 and published by the P. Adrien parvilliers of the Company of Jesus, Apostolic Missionary of the Holy Land, with approbation, permission and recommendation to distribute them.

Parents and teachers who will read them to young infants for at least one year will assure their being preserved for life from any grave accident which would involve the loss of one of their five senses.

Pope Pius IX took cognizance of these Prayers with the prologue; he approved them May 31, 1862, recognizing them as true and for the good  of Souls.
This sentence of Pope Pius IX has been confirmed by the realization of the promises by all persons who have recited the prayers and by numerous supernatural facts by which God wanted to make known their exact truth.  A collection of small books, these prayers among them, was approved by the Great Congress of Malines on August 22, 1863.

Question – Must one recite the prayers everyday without interruption to obtain the privileges?
Answer -  One should miss saying them as few times as possible; but if for a serious reason one is obliged to miss them, one doesn’t lose the privileges attached to them, as long as one recites 5480 Prayers during the year.  One must say them with devotion and concentrate on the words one pronounces. These prayers can serve as the Way of the Cross.


Visitors to the Church of St. Paul at Rome can see the crucifix, above the Tabernacle in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, sculptured by Pierre Cavallini, before which St. Bridget knelt when she received these 15 prayers from Our Lord.  The following inscription is placed in the church to commemorate the event: “Pendentis, Pendente Dei verba accepit aure accipit et verbum corde Brigitta Deum.  Anno Jubilei MCCCL.”

As St. Bridget for a long time wanted to know the number of blows Our Lord received during His Passion, He one day appeared to her and said: “I received 5480 blows on My Body.  If you wish to honor them in some way, say 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Mary’s with the following Prayers (which He taught her) for a whole year.  When the year is up, you will have honored each one of My Wounds.”

Our Lord made the following promises to anyone who recited the 15 St. Bridget Prayers for a whole year:

Promises

 1.
I will deliver 15 souls of his lineage from Purgatory.

 2.
15 souls of his lineage will be confirmed and preserved in grace.

 3.
15 sinners of his lineage will be converted.

 4.
Whoever recites these Prayers will attain in the first degree of perfection.

 5.
15 days before his death I will give him My Precious Body in order that he may escape eternal starvation; I will give him My Precious Blood to drink lest he thirst eternally.

 6.
15 days before his death he will feel a deep contrition for all his sins and will have a perfect knowledge of them.

 7.
I will place before him the sign of My Victorious Cross for his help and defense against the attacks of his enemies.

 8.
Before his death I shall come with My Dearest Beloved Mother.

 9.
I shall graciously receive his soul, and will lead it into eternal joys.

10.
And having led it there I shall give him a special draught from the fountain of My Deity, something I will not for those who have not recited My Prayers.

11.
Let it be known that whoever may have been living in the state of mortal sin for 30 years, but who will recite devoutly, or have the intention to recite these Prayers, the Lord will forgive him all his sins.

12.
I shall protect him from strong temptations.

13.
I shall preserve and guard his 5 senses.

14.
I shall preserve him from a sudden death.

15.
His soul will be delivered from eternal death.

16.
He will obtain all he asks for from God and the Blessed Virgin.

17.
If he has lived all his life doing his own will and he is to die the next day, his life will be prolonged.

18.
Every time one recites these Prayers he gains 100 days indulgence.

19.
He is assured of being joined to the supreme Choir of Angels.

20.
Whoever teaches these Prayers to another, will have continuous joy and merit which will endure eternally.

21.
There where these prayer are being said or will be said in the future God is present with His grace.

First Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus Christ!  Eternal Sweetness to those who love Thee, joy surpassing all joy and all desire, Salvation and Hope of all sinners, Who hast proved that Thou hast no greater desire than to be among men, even assuming human nature at the fullness of time for the love of men, recall all the sufferings Thou hast endured from the instant of Thy conception, and especially during Thy Passion, as it was decreed and ordained from all eternity in the Divine plan.


Remember, O Lord, that during the Last Super with Thy disciples, having washed their feet, Thou gavest them Thy Most Precious Body and Blood, and while at the same time Thou didst sweetly console them, Thou didst foretell them Thy coming Passion.

Remember the sadness and bitterness which Thou didst experience in Thy Soul as Thou Thyself bore witness saying: “My Soul is sorrowful even unto death.”

Remember all the fear, anguish and pain that Thou didst suffer in Thy delicate Body before the torment of the Crucifixion, when, after having prayed three times, bathed in a sweat of blood, Thou wast betrayed by Judas, Thy disciple, arrested by the people of a nation Thou hadst chosen and elevated, accused by false witnesses, unjustly judged by three judges during the flower of Thy youth and during the solemn Paschal season.

Remember that Thou wast despoiled of Thy garments and clothed in those of derision; that Thy Face and Eyes were veiled, that Thou wast buffeted, crowned with thorns, a reed placed in Thy Hands, that Thou was crushed with blows and overwhelmed with affronts and outrages.

In memory of all these pains and sufferings which Thou didst endure before Thy Passion on the Cross, grant me before my death true contrition, a sincere and entire confession, worthy satisfaction and the remission of all my sins.  Amen

Second Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus! True liberty of angels, Paradise of delights, remember the horror and sadness which Thou didst endure when Thy enemies, like furious lions, surrounded Thee, and by thousands of insults, spits, blows, lacerations and other unheard-of-cruelties, tormented Thee at will.  In consideration of these torments and insulting words, I beseech Thee, O my Savior, to deliver me from all my enemies, visible and invisible, and to bring me, under Thy protection, to the perfection of eternal salvation.  Amen


Third Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Creator of Heaven and earth Whom nothing can encompass or limit, Thou Who dost enfold and hold all under Thy Loving power, remember the very bitter pain Thou didst suffer when the Jews nailed Thy Sacred Hands and Feet to the Cross by blow after blow with big blunt nails, and not finding Thee in a pitiable enough state to satisfy their rage, they enlarged Thy Wounds, and added pain to pain, and with indescribable cruelty stretched Thy Body on the Cross, pulled Thee from all sides, thus dislocating Thy Limbs.  I beg of Thee, O Jesus, by the memory of this most Loving suffering of the Cross, to grant me the grace to fear Thee and to Love Thee.  Amen.


Fourth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Heavenly Physician, raised aloft on the Cross to heal our wounds with Thine, remember the bruises which Thou didst suffer and the weakness of all Thy Members which were distended to such a degree that never was there pain like unto Thine.  From the crown of Thy Head to the Soles of Thy Feet there was not one spot on Thy Body that was not in torment, and yet , forgetting all Thy sufferings, Thou didst not cease to pray to Thy heavenly Father for Thy enemies, saying “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”

Through this great Mercy, and in memory of this suffering, grant that the remembrance of Thy Most Bitter Passion may effect in us a perfect contrition and the remission of all our sins.  Amen.

Fifth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Mirror of eternal splendor, remember the sadness which Thou experienced, when contemplating in the light of Thy Divinity the predestination of those who would be saved by the merits of Thy Sacred passion, Thou didst see at the same time, the great multitude of reprobates who would be damned for their sins, and Thou didst complain bitterly of those hopeless lost and unfortunate sinners.

Through this abyss of compassion and pity, and especially through the goodness which Thou displayed to the good thief when Thou sadist to him: “This day, thou shalt be with Me in paradise.”  I beg of Thee, O Sweet Jesus, that at the hour of my death, Thou wilt show me mercy.  Amen.

Sixth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Beloved and most desirable King, remember the grief Thou didst suffer, when naked and like a common criminal, Thou was fastened and raised on the Cross, when all Thy relatives and friends abandoned Thee, except Thy Beloved Mother, who remained close to Thee during Thy agony and whom Thou didst entrust to Thy faithful disciple when Thou sadist to Mary:  “Woman, behold thy son!”  and to St. John: “Son, behold thy Mother!”

I beg of Thee O my Savior, by the sword of sorrow which pierced the soul of Thy holy Mother, to have compassion on me in all my affliction and tribulations, both corporal and spiritual, and to assist me in all my trials, and especially at the hour of my death. Amen

Seventh Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Inexhaustible Fountain of compassion, Who by a profound gesture of Love, said from the Cross: “I thirst!” suffered from the thirst for the salvation of the human race.  I beg of Thee O my Savior, to inflame in our hearts the desire to tend toward perfection in all our acts; and to extinguish in us the concupiscence of the flesh and the ardor of worldly desires.  Amen


Eighth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Sweetness of hearts, delight of the spirit, by the bitterness of the vinegar and gall which Thou didst taste on the Cross for Love of us, grant us the grace to receive worthily Thy Precious Body and Blood during our life and at the hour of our death, that they may serve as a remedy and consolation for our souls.  Amen


Ninth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Royal virtue, joy of the mind, recall the pain Thou didst endure when, plunged in an ocean of bitterness at the approach of death, insulted, outraged by the Jews, Thou didst cry out in a loud voice that Thou was abandoned by Thy Father, saying: “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?”

Through this anguish, I beg of Thee, O my Savior, not to abandon me in the terrors and pains of my death. Amen

Tenth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Who art the beginning and end of all things, life and virtue, remember that for our sakes Thou was plunged in an abyss of suffering from the soles of Thy Feet to the crown of Thy Head.  In consideration of the enormity of Thy Wounds, teach me to keep, through pure love, Thy Commandments, whose way is wide and easy for those who love Thee.  Amen


Eleventh Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Deep abyss of mercy, I beg of Thee, in memory of Thy Wounds which penetrated to the very marrow of Thy Bones and to the depth of Thy being, to draw me, a miserable sinner, overwhelmed by my offenses, away from sin and to hide me from Thy Face justly irritated against me, hide me in Thy Wounds, until Thy anger and just indignation shall have passed away.  Amen


Twelfth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Mirror of Truth, symbol of unity, link of Charity, remember the multitude of wounds with which Thou was covered from head to foot, torn and reddened by the spilling of Thy adorable blood.  O great and universal pain which Thou didst suffer in Thy virginal flesh for love of us!  Sweetest Jesus!  What is there that Thou couldst have done for us which Thou hast not done! May the fruit of Thy sufferings be renewed in my soul by the faithful remembrance of Thy passion, and may Thy love increase in my heart each day, until I see Thee in eternity, Thou Who art the treasury of every real good and every joy, which I beg Thee to grant me, O sweetest Jesus, in Heaven.  Amen


Thirteenth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  Strong Lion, Immortal and Invincible King, remember the pain which Thou didst endure when all Thy strength, both moral and physical, was entirely exhausted, Thou didst bow Thy head, saying:  “It is consummated!”

Through this anguish and grief, I beg of Thee Lord Jesus, to have mercy on me at the hour of my death when my mind will be greatly troubled and my soul will be in anguish.  Amen

Fourteenth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus! Only Son of the Father, splendor and figure of His substance remember the simple and humble recommendation Thou didst make of Thy Soul to Thy Eternal Father, saying: “Father, into Thy Hands I commend My Spirit!”  And with Thy body all torn, and Thy Heart broken, and the bowels of Thy mercy open to redeem us, Thou didst expire.  By this precious death, I beg of Thee O King of Saints, comfort me and help me to resist the devil, the flesh and the world, so that being dead to the world I may live for Thee alone.  I beg of Thee at the hour of my death to receive me, a pilgrim and an exile returning to Thee. Amen


Fifteenth Prayer
Our Father – Hail Mary.

O Jesus!  True and fruitful Vine!  Remember the abundant outpouring of Blood which Thou didst so generously shed from Thy Sacred Body as juice from grapes in a wine press.

From Thy Side,  pierced with a lance by a soldier, blood and water issued forth until there was not left in Thy Body a single drop, and finally, like a bundle of myrrh lifted to the top of the Cross, Thy delicate flesh was destroyed, the very Substance of Thy Body withered, and the Marrow of Thy Bones dried up.
Through this bitter Passion and through the outpouring of Thy precious Blood, I beg of Thee, O Sweet Jesus, to receive my soul when I am in my death agony.  Amen

Conclusion
O Sweet Jesus!  Pierce my heart so that my tears of penitence and love will be my bread day and night; may I be converted entirely to Thee, may my heart be Thy perpetual habitation, may my conversation be pleasing to Thee, and my the end of my life be so praiseworthy that I may merit Heaven and there with Thy saints, praise Thee forever.  Amen



Promises To Those Who Sing:

During a riot at Rome, a mob came to the house where St. Bridget lived; a leader talked of burning Bridget alive.  She prayed to Our Lord to know if she should flee to safety.  Jesus advised her to stay:  “It doesn’t matter if they plot Thy death.  My power will break the malice of Thy enemies:  if Mine crucified Me, it is because I permitted it.”  Our blessed Mother added:  “Sing as a group the AVE MARIS STELLA and I’ll guard you from every danger.”

My Queen, my mother, I give myself entirely to thee, and to show my devotion to thee, I consecrate to thee this day, my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my whole being without reserve.  Wherefore good Mother as I am thine own, keep me, guard me, as thy property and possession.  Amen

Prayer to St. Joseph (over 1900 years old)

O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.  O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the Loving of Fathers.  O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms.  I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart.  Press him to my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath.  St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us.  Amen

Say for nine consecutive mornings for anything you may desire. It has seldom been known to fail.




This prayer was found in the fiftieth year of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  In 1500’s it was sent by the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle.

Whoever reads this prayer or hears it or carries it, will never die a sudden death, nor be drowned, nor will poison take effect on them.  They will not fall into the hands of the enemy nor be burned in any fire, nor will they be defeated in battle.
Make this prayer known everywhere.

Glory be to Jesus and Mary
A letter written by the Blessed Virgin Mary to the City of Messina where St. Paul, the Apostle preached the gospel, which has been preserved in the Reliquary of the great altar.

“I, Mary Virgin, servant of God, very humble Mother of Jesus Christ, Son of God, the Almighty and Eternity, to all who are in Messina, health and benediction in our Lord.  You have learned by the ambassadors who have been sent to you.  You received the gospel and you acknowledged that the Son of God has become man, and has suffered the passion and death for the salvation of the world, and that He is Christ and also the true mMessiah.  I beseech you to persevere, promising to you, and all your posterity, to assist you in the presence of My Son.”

Prayer for Daily Neglects

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its Love, all its sufferings and all its merits.

First -  To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life.  Glory be to the Father and to the Son…!

Second - To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life.  Glory be to the Father and to the Son…!

Third -  To supply for the good I ought to have done and that I have neglected this day and during all my life.  Glory be to the Father…!
A Poor Clare nun, who had just died, appeared to her abbess, who was praying for her, and said to her, “I went straight to heaven, for, by means of this prayer, recited every evening, I paid my debts.”

Hail Mary of Gold

Hail Mary, White Lily of the Glorious and always-serene Trinity.
Hail brilliant Rose of the Garden of heavenly delights:
O you, by whom God wanted to be born and by whose milk the King of Heaven wanted to be nourished!  Nourish our souls with effusions of divine grace.  
Amen!

At the hour when the soul which has thus greeted me quits the body I’ll appear to them in such splendid beauty that they’ll taste, to their great consolation, something of the joys of Paradise.

This picture of Our Lady was drawn by a mystic in Italy.  Her hand was guided by Our Lady.

There is a special blessing given each day to the person who carries it and another blessing given each time one looks at it with love.




Three Very Beautiful Prayers

Which are very useful to a dying person, and should be prayed often as an act of mercy.

There once was a Pope in Rome who was surrounded by many sins.  The Lord God struck him with a fatal illness.  When he saw that he was dying he summoned Cardinals, Bishops and learned persons and said to them:  “My dear friends! What comfort can you give me now that I must die, and when I deserve eternal damnation for my sins?”  No one answered him.  One of them, a pious curate named John, said: “Father, why do you doubt the Mercy of God?”  The Pope replied: “What comfort can you give me now that I must die and fear that I’ll be damned for my sins?” John replied:  “I’ll read three prayers over you; I hope, you’ll be comforted and that you’ll obtain Mercy from God.”  The Pope was unable to say more.  The curate and all those present knelt and said an Our Father, then the following prayers:

Prayer 1.
Lord Jesus Christ!  Thou Son of God and Son of the Virgin Mary, God and Man, Thou who in fear sweated blood for us on the Mount of Olives in order to bring peace, and to offer Thy Most Holy Death to God Thy Heavenly Father for the salvation of this dying person…  If it be, however, that by his sins he merits eternal damnation, then may it be deflected from him.  This, O Eternal Father through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Dear Son, Who liveth and reigneth in union with The Holy Spirit now and forever.  Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ!  Thou who meekly died on the trunk of the Cross for us, submitting Thy Will completely to Thy Heavenly Father in order to bring peace and to offer Thy most Holy Death to Thy Heavenly Father in order to free…(this person)…and to hide from him what he has earned with his sins; grant this O Eternal Father!  Through Our Lord Jesus Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in union with the Holy Spirit now and forever.  Amen.


Prayer 3.
Lord Jesus Christ!  Thou Who remained silent to speak through the mouths of the Prophets;  I have drawn Thee to me through Eternal Love, which love drew Thee from Heaven into the body of the Virgin, which love drew Thee from the body of the Virgin into the valley of this needful world, which Love kept Thee 33 years in this world, and as a sign of Great Love, Thou hast given Thy drink, as a sign of great love, Thou has consented to be a prisoner and to be led from one judge to another and as a sign of great love Thou has consented to be condemned to death, and hast consented to die and to be buried and truly rise, and appeared to Thy Holy Mother and all the Holy Apostles, and as a sign of great love Thou hast ascended, under Thy own strength and power, and sitteth at the right hand of God Thy heavenly Father, and Thou has sent Thy Holy Spirit into the heart of Thy Apostles and the hearts of all who hope and believe in Thee.  Through Thy sign of Eternal love, open heaven today and take this dying person… and all his sins into the realm of Thy Heavenly Father, that he may reign with Thee now and forever.  Amen.


Meanwhile the Pope died.  The curate persevered to the third hour, then the Pope appeared to him in body and comforting him; his countenance as brilliant as the sun, his clothes as white as snow, and he said:  “My dear brother!  Whereas I was supposed to be a child of damnation I’ve become a child of happiness.  As you recited the first prayer many of my sins fell from me as rain from Heaven, and as you recited the second Prayer I was purified, as a goldsmith purifies gold in a hot fire.  I was still further purified as you recited the third prayer.  Then I saw Heaven open and the Lord Jesus standing on the Right Hand of God the Father who said to me:  “Come, all thy sins are forgiven thee, you’ll be and remain in the realm of My Father forever.  Amen!”

With these words my soul separated from my body and the angels of God led it to Eternal Joy.

As the curate heard this he said: “O Holy Father! I can’t tell these things to anyone, for they won’t believe me.”  Then the Pope said: “Truly I tell thee, the Angel of God stands with me and has written the prayers in letters of gold for the consolement of all sinners.  If a person had committed all the sins in the world, but that the three prayers shall have been read (over him) at his end (death), all his sins wil be forgiven him, even though his soul was supposed to suffer until the Last Judgement, it will be redeemed (freed).

The person who hears them read, he won’t die an unhappy death also in whose house they will be read.  Therefore take these prayers and carry them into St. Peter’s Basilica and lay them in the Chapel named the Assumption of Mary, for certain consolation.  The person who will be near death, who reads them or hears them read gains 400 years indulgence for the days he was supposed to suffer in Purgatory because of his guilt.  Also who reads this prayer or hears it read, the hour of his death shall be revealed to him. Amen!




An Act of Contrition

O my God I am heartily sorry for all my sins because of them I deserve the eternal pains of hell, but most of all because I have offended Thee my God who art all good and deserving of all my love.  I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance, to avoid the occasion of sin and never to sin again. Eternal Father we humbly offer Thee our poor presence and that of the whole of humanity from the beginning to the end of the world at all the Masses that ever have or ever will be prayed.  We offer Thee all the pains, suffering, prayers, sacrifices, joys and relaxations of our lives, in union with those of our dear Lord Jesus here on earth.  

May the Most Precious Blood of Christ, all His blood and wounds and agony save us, through the sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Amen! (This prayer should be prayed daily, and Made known.)

Graces Derived From Assisting at Holy Mass

In eternity, we shall fully realize that it was certainly worthwhile to have assisted at Holy Mass daily.

St. Boneventure said: "That whoever neglected Our Lady would perish in his sins and would be damned."




Holy Communion

Each time we receive Holy Communion our venial sins are forgiven.

Christ revealed to St. Gertrude the Great that each time 1 person receives Holy Communion, something good happens to every being in heaven on earth and in purgatory.

The Curate of Ars said that a Communion well received is worth more than 20,000 NFF given to the poor.

Each time we receive Communion our place in Heaven is raised forever, our stay in Purgatory shortened.

WE SHOULD NEVER LET A DAY PASS WITHOUT GOING TO HOLY COMMUNION


Spiritual Communion

The value of a spiritual Communion well made is enormous.  We can and should make one frequently.  Simply think on Jesus and how much He loves us and how much we love Him, then ask Our Blessed Mother to ask her Divine Son to come into our hearts.  We can offer these Communions for the interest of the Sorrowful and Immaculate heart of Mary, noting our special intention!

A True Letter of Our Saviour Jesus Christ

Consecrating the Drops of Blood which Our Lord Jesus lost on His way to Calvary.
Copy of a letter of the Oration found in the Holy Sepulchre of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, preserved in a silver box by his Holiness and by the emperors and empresses of the Christian faith.

St. Elizabeth, Queen of Hungary, with St. Matilda and St. Bridget, wishing to know something of the Passion of Jesus Christ, offered fervent and special prayers, upon which there appeared to them Our Lord Jesus Christ who spoke to them in the following manner:

I descended from Heaven to the Earth in order to convert you.
In olden times people were religious and their harvests were abundant; at present, on the contrary, they are scanty.

If you want to reap an abundant harvest you must not work on Sunday, for on Sunday you must go to church and pray to God to forgive your sins.  He gave you six days in which to work and one for rest and devotion and to tender your help to the poor and assist the Church.

Those people, who brawl against my religion and cast slurs on this Sacred Letter, shall be forsaken by me.

On the contrary, those people who shall carry a copy of this letter with them shall be free from death by drowning and from sudden death.  They shall be free from all contagious diseases and lightning; they shall not die without confession, and shall be free from their enemies and from the hand of wrongful authority, and from all their slanderers and false witnesses.

Women in peril at child-birth will, by keeping this Oration about them, immediately overcome the difficulty.  In the houses where this Oration is kept no evil thing will ever happen; and forty days before the death of a person who has this Oration about him or her, the Blessed Virgin will appear to him or her.  So said St. Gregorius.

To all those faithful who shall recite for 3 years, each day 2 Paters (Our fathers), Glorias and Aves, in honor of the drops of blood I lost, I will concede the following 5 graces:

1. The plenary indulgence and remittance of your sins.
2. You will be free from the pains of Purgatory.
3. If you should die before completing the said 3 years, for you it will be the same as if you had completed them.
4. It will be upon your death the same as if you had shed all your blood for the Holy Faith.
5. I will descend from Heaven to take your soul and that of your relatives, until the fourth generation.

Be it known that the number of armed soldiers were 150; those who trailed me while I was bound were 23.  The executioners of justice were 83; the blows received on my head were 150; those on my stomach, 108; I was beaten on the body 6666 times;  beaten on the head, 110 times.  I was roughly pushed, and at 12 o’clock was lifted up by the hair; pricked with thorns and pulled by the beard 23 times;  received 20 wounds on the head; thorns of marine junks, 72; pricks of thorns in the head, 110; mortal thorns in the forehead, 3.  I was afterwards flogged and dressed as a mocked king; wounds in the body, 1000.  The soldiers who led me to the Calvary were 608; those who watched me were 3, and those who mocked me were 1008; the drops of blood which I lost were 28,430.

O merciful Infant Jesus!  I know of Thy miraculous deeds for the sick … in view of the innumerable graces and the cures granted … through the veneration of Thy Holy Infancy, particularly in the statue of Prague … I exclaim with the greatest assurance: O most loving … Infant Jesus, Thou canst cure me if Thou wilt!  Extend Thy holy hand and by Thy power take away all pain and infirmity.

HISTORY OF THE DEVOTION TO THE INFANT OF PRAGUE
Devotion to the Infant Jesus is as old as Christianity itself.  It ever tends to keep the great mystery of our Lord’s birth vividly before us.

A special devotion to the Divine Child originated with the Carmelites in the city of Prague, Bohemia, in the beginning of the seventeenth century.  Princess Polyxenia of Lobkowitz had received as a wedding gift from her mother a statue of the Divine Child, previously brought from Spain.  After the death of her husband, the princess devoted herself to works of charity and was particularly helpful to the Carmelites in Prague.  When in 1628, the Carmelite Monastery had been reduced to poverty, owing to the ravages of war, the princess gave her precious statue to the Carmelites, saying : “I GIVE YOU WHAT I PRIZE MOST HIGHLY IN THE WORLD; HONOUR AND RESPECT THE CHILD JESUS AND YOU SHALL NEVER BE IN WANT.”

Her gift was placed in the Carmelite oratory.  The words of the princess proved prophetic for as long as the Carmelites kept up their devotion to the Divine Infant of Prague, everything prospered with them.  The Carmelites were later forced to flee from the city and in the confusion of the war, they were unable to take with them their miraculous statue. The invaders seized it and threw it into a pile of rubbish.  In 1635, peace came to Prague and the Carmelites returned.  One of them, Father Cyril, who had previously received great spiritual help through his devotion to the Infant of Prague, sought the statue and found it amidst the rubbish.  Overjoyed, he placed the statue again in the oratory.  As Father Cyril was one day praying devotedly before the statue, he heard a voice saying: “HAVE MERCY ON ME AND I WILL HAVE MERCY ON YOU.  RETURN MY HANDS TO ME AND I SHALL GIVE YOU PEACE.  THE MORE YOU HONOUR ME, THE MORE I SHALL BLESS YOU.”   
Startled by these words, Father Cyril examined the statue and upon drawing aside the mantle covering it, he found that both hands of the statue were broken off.  The hands were restored to the statue through the generosity of a client of the Divine Child.  Once more peace and prosperity returned to the Carmelites.

Devotion to the Divine Child has always been practiced by the Carmelites for through their Mother, Mary, this Divine Child had come to the world.  St Therese of Jesus practiced particular devotion to the Divine Child.  St Therese, the little Flower, was also a most fervent venerator.

THE FIFTEEN PROMISES OF MARY TO CHRISTIANS WHO RECITE THE ROSARY

10.  The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit high degree of glory in Heaven.

WHY Should I Go To Mass Every Day?

"THe Mass is the most perfect form of prayer!"  (Pope Paul VI)

For each Mass we hear with devotion, Our Lord sends a saint to comfort us at death.  (revelation of Christ to St. Gertrude the Great).

Padre Pio, the stigmatic priest, said, the world could exist more easily without the sun than without the Mass.

The Cure d' Ars, St Jean Vianney said, if we knew the value of the Mass, we would die of joy.

A great doctor of the Church, St. Anselm, declares that a single Mass offered for oneself during life may be worth more than a thousand celebrated for the same intention after death.  St. Leonard of Port Maurice supposrts this statement by saying that one Mass before death may be more profitable than many after it.

"The Holy Mass would be of greater profit if people had it offered in their lifetime, rather than having it celebrated for the relief of their souls after death." (Pope Benedict XV)

Once, St. Teresa was overwhelmed with God's Goodness and asked Our Lord,"How can I thank you?"  Our Lord replied,"ATTEND ONE MASS".

The Blessed Virgin Mary once told Her faithful servant Alain: "My Son so loves those who assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that, if it were necessary He would die for them as many times as they've heard Masses."

BROTHER ESTANISLAO (1903-1927)

At the age of 18, a young Spaniard entered the Novitiate of The Brothers of the Christian Schools at Bugedo.  He took the Vow of Regularity, Perfection and Pure Love.  In October 1926, he offered himself to Jesus through Mary.  Soon after this heroic devotion, he fell ill, and was obliged ot rest.  He died saintly in March 1927.  He was, accordign to the master of Novices, a Privileged Soul, who received Messages from Heaven.  Confessors and Theologieans recognized these supernatural facts.  His Director asked him to write the Promises made by OUR LORD to those who have devotion to THE WAY OF THE CROSS:

They are :

1.  I'll grant everything that's asked of Me with Faith, when making the Way of The Cross.

2.  I promise Eternal Life to those who pray from time to time, The Way of The Cross.

3.  I'll follow them everywhere in life and I'll help them, especially at the hour of death.

4.  Even if they have have more sins than blades of grass in the fields, and grains of sand in the sea, all of them will be erased by The Way of The Cross. (Note : This promise doesn't eliminate the obligation to confess all mortal sins, and this, before we can receive Holy Communion.)

5.  Those who pray The Way of The Cross often, will have a special glory in Heaven.

6.  I'll deliver them from Purgatory, indeed if they go there at all, the first Tuesday or Friday after their death.

7.  I'll bless them at each Way of The Cross, adn My blessing will follow them everywhere on earth and, after their death, in Heaven for all Eternity.

8.  At the hour of death I won't permit the devil to tempt them; I'll lift all power from him in order that they'll repose tranquilly in My Arms.

9.  If they pray it with true love, I'll make of each one of them a living Ciborium in which it will please Me to pour My grace.

10.  I'll fix My Eyes on theose who pray The Way of The Cross often; My Hands will always be open to protect them.

11.  As I am nailed ot the Cross, so also will I always be with those who honour Me in making The Way of The Cross frequently.

12.  They'll never be able to separate themselves from Me, for I'll give them the grace never again to commit a Mortal sin.

13.  At the hour of death, I'll console them with My Presence and we'll go together to Heaven.  Death will be sweet to all those who have honoured Me during their lives by praying The Way of The Cross.

14.  My Soul will be a protective shield for them, and will always help them, whenever they have recourse.

"If you pray, you are positive of saving your soul.  If you do NOT pray, you are just as positive of losing your soul."

Prayer to the Shoulder Wound of Christ

O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee, and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. It is related in the annals of Clairvaux that St. Bernard asked our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering, and Our Lord answered: "I had on My Shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound, which was more painful than the others, and which is not recorded by men. Honor this wound with thy devotion, and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins, and will no longer remember their mortal sins."

INVOCATIONS 
IN HONOUR OF THE HOLY WOUNDS 
OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ to heal the wounds of our souls. My Jesus, pardon and mercy through the merits of Thy Sacred Wounds. Amen.

Sister Mary Martha Chambon, a humble lay sister of the Visitation Order of Chambery, France, who died in the odor of sanctity, March 21st 1907, received these two invocations from Our Lord Himself, as she affirmed, and with them a double MISSION to aore and invoke the Sacred Wounds unceasingly and to revive this devotion in the hearts of creatures.

Our Lord said:

"The soul who during life has honoured and studied the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and has offered them to the Eternal Father for the souls in Purgatory, will be accompanied at the moment of death by the Holy Virgin and the angels; and Our Lord on the Cross all brilliant in glory will receive her and crown her."

PRAY FOR SOULS IN PURGATORY

There are more souls released from purgatory during the Consecration of the Mass than at any time.  Christmas is the day of the year when most souls are delivered; then feast days of Our Lord, Our Lady and great saints.  Souls receive much grace from prayers offered for them on their birthdays, day of baptism, anniversary of death.

The more we work for Poor Souls on earth the more others will pray for us, the more merciful will Christ be with us when we're in purgatory.

Our Lady asked that we pray very mcuh for the poor souls; that we pray:

1 Glory Be to the Father...
1 Requiem (Eternal rest grant unto them Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them and may they rest in peace.  Amen!)

THE SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

By a rescript of November 24, 1922, the Sacred Congregation of Indulgences approved the following formula for a spiritual communion:

O Jesus, I turn toward the holy tabernacle where You live hidden for love of me. I love you, O my God. I cannot receive you in Holy Communion. Come, nevertheless, and visit me with Your grace. Come spiritually into my heart. Purify it. Sanctify it. Render it like unto Your own. Amen.

Lord, I am not worthy that Thou shouldst enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

It was the Cure of Ars who said,"A spiritual communion acts on the soul as blowing does on a cinder - covered fire which was about to go out  Whenever you feel your love of God growing cold, quickly make a spiritual communion."

DEVOTION TO THE SORROWFUL AND IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

This message was confided by Our Lord to Berthe Petit, a humble Franciscan Tertiary, born on January 23, 1870 at Enghien, Belgium :

"Teach souls to love the Heart of My Mother pierced by the very sorrows which pierced Mine." (December 25, 1909)

At the Holy Hour (March 25, 1912), the Blessed Virgin spoke thus: "I have called myself the Immaculate Conception.  To you I call myself Mother of the Sorrowful Heart.  This title willed by my Son is dear to me above all others.  According as it is spread everywhere, there will be granted graces of mercy, spiritual renewal and salvation."

This powerful prayer of exorcism was composed by Pope Leo XIII; in a vision, he had been shown the fearful battle to be waged between Satan and St Michael, over the Church of the future.  Now, as never before, the Church needs the intercession of St. Michael!  Please pray this prayer every day.

SINCERE ACT OF CONTRITION

CHAPLET OF ST MICHAEL

Saint Michael appearing one day to Antonia d'Astonac, a most devout Servant of God, told her that he wished to be honoured by nine salutations corresponding to the nine Choirs of Angels, which should consist of one Our Father and three Hail Marys in honour of each of the angelic  choirs.

Promises of St. Michael

Whosoever would practise this devotion in his honour would have, when approaching the Holy Table, an escort of nine angels chosen from each one of the nine choirs.  In addition, for the daily recital of these nine salutations he promised his continual assistance and that of all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from purgatory for themselves and their relations.

Method of Reciting The Chaplet

The chaplet is begun by saying the following invocation on the medal :

O God, come to my assistance.
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, etc.

Pray on each of the nine beads, moving in a counterclockwise direction, say one Our Father and three Hail Marys after each of the following nine salutations in honour of the nine choirs of angels.

O glorious Prince St Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King, and our admirable conductor, thou who dost shine with excellence and superhuman virtue, vouchsafe to deliver us from all evil, who turn to thee with confidence, and enable us by thy gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day.

V. Pray for us, O glorious St Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Almighty and Everlasting God, who by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all men, hast appointed the most glorious Archangel, St Michael, Prince of Thy Church, make us worthy, we beseech Thee, to be delivered from all our enemies that none of them may harass us at the hour of death, but that we may be conducted by him into the august presence of Thy Divine Majesty.  This we beg throught the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

TWENTY-FOUR 'GLORY BE TO OUR FATHER'S" NOVENA

to Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face asking for necessary favours.

ORIGIN OF THE NOVENA

Father Putigan, a Jesuit, began the Novena to Saitns Therese of the Child Jesus on December 3, 1925, asking the glorious Saint for one great favour.  For nine days he recited the 'Glory Be To The Father' twenty-four times, thanking the Holy Trinity for the favours and graces showered  on Saint Therese during the twenty-four years of her life on earth.  
The priest asked Saint Therese, that as a sign that his novena was heart he would receive from someone a freshly plucked rose.  Ont he third day of the novena, an unknown person sought out Father Putigan and presented him with a beautiful rose.

Father Putigan began the second novena on December 24 of the same year and as a sign, asked for a white rose.  On the fourth day of this novena, one of the Sister-nurses brought him a white rose saying: "Saint Therese sent you this."

Amazed, the priest asked: "Where did you get this ?"

"I was in the chapel," said the Sister, "and as I was leaving, I passed the altar above which hangs the beautiful picture of Saint Therese.  This rose fell at my feet.  I wanted to put it back into the bouquet, but a thought came to me that I should bring it to you."

Father Putigan received the favours he had petitioned of the Little Flower of Jesus, and promised to spread the novena to increase devotion to, and bring her more honour.

In this fashion, from the ninth to the seventeenth of each month, those who want to participate in the Twenty-four 'Glory Be To The Father's" novena, should add to those of their own, the intentions of all who are at that time making the novena, thus forming one great prayer in common.

The Novena

The Twenty-four "Glory Be To The Father's" novena can be said at any time.  However, the ninth to the seventeenth of the month is particularly recommended for on those days, the petitioner joins in prayer with all those making the novena.

Between the Glory Be's, say "Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us."

THE EUCHARISTIC MIRACLE OF LANCIANO 

Ancient Anxanum, the city of the Frentanese, has contained for over twelve centuries the first and greatest Eucharistic Miracle of the Catholic Church.  This wondrous Event took place in the 8th century A.D. in the little Church of St Legontian, as a divine response to a Basilian monk's doubt about Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist.



During Holy Mass, after the two-fold consecration, the host was changed into live Flesh and hte wine was changed into live Blood, which coagulated into five globules, irregular and differing in shape and size.

The Host-Flesh, as can be very distinctly observed today, has the same dimensions as the large host used today in the Latin church; it is light brown and appears rose-coloured when lighted from the back.  The Blood is coagulated and has an earthy colour resembling the yellow of ochre.

Since 1713, the Flesh has been reserved in an artistic silver Ostensorium, delicately embossed by an artisan of the Neapolitan school.

The Blood is enclosed in a rich and very old cup made of Rock-crystal.

The Minor Conventual Friars have been the custodians of the Sanctuary since 1252; their appointment was the wish of Bishop Landulf of Chieti; their appointment was confirmed by a Pontifical Bull dated April, 20, 1252.

The church was in charge of the Basilian monks until 1176, from 1178 until 1252 the Benedictines staffed the church.

In 1258 the Franciscans built the present church.

In 1700 its architectural style was changed from romanesque-gothic to baroque.

The 'Miracle' was first reserved in a chapel situated at the side of the main altar.

Then, from 1636 it was reserved in a side-altar of the nave which still contains the old iron chest and the commemorative inscription.

In 1902 it was transferred into the present monumenta marble altar which the people of Lanciano had erected.

Various ecclesiastical investigations ('Recognitions') were conducted since 1574.

In 1970-71 and taken up again partly in 1981 there took place a scientific investigation by the most illustrious scientist Prof. Odoardo Linoli, eminent Professor in Anatomy and Pathological Histology and in Chemistry and Clinical Microscopy.

He was assisted by Prof. Ruggero Bertelli of the University of Siena.

The analyses were conducted with absolute and unquestionable scientific precision and they were documented with a series of microscopic photographs.  These analyses sustained the following conclusions:

The Flesh is real Flesh.  The Blood is real Blood.

The Flesh and the Blood belong to the human species.

The Flesh consists of the muscular tissue of the heart.

In the Flesh, we see present in sections: the myocardium, the endocardium, the vagus nerve and also the left ventricle of the heart for the large thickness of the myocardium.

The Flesh is a 'HEART' complete in its essential structure.

The Flesh and the Blood have the same blood-type : AB. (Blood-type identical to that which Prof. Baima Bollone uncovered on the Holy Shroud of Turin).

In the Blood there were found proteins in the same normal proportions (percentage-wise) as are found in the sero-proteic make-up of the fresh normal blood.

In the Blood there were also found these minerals: chlorides, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium.

The preservation of the Flesh and of the Blood, which were left in their natural state for twelve centuries and exposed to the action of atmospheric and biological agents, remains an extraordinary phenomenon.

In conclusion, it may be said that Science, when called upon to testify, has given an certain and thorough response as regards the authenticity of the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano.

The Queen of the Angels calls for Prayer
    A Bernadine Sister was shown in spirit the vast desolation caused by the devil throughout the world.
    At the same time she heard the Blessed Virgin telling her that it was true, Hell had been let loose upon earth.
    The Blessed Virgin said the time had come to pray to her as Queen of the Angels and to seek the assistance of the Heavenly Legions to fight against these deadly foes of God and of men.
    “But, my good Mother,” the Nun asked, “you who are so kind, could you not send them without our asking?”
    “No,” Our Lady said, “because prayer is one of the conditions required by God Himself for obtaining favours.”
    Then the Blessed Virgin communicated the following prayer to the Nun, bidding her to get it printed and to distribute it gratis.


INDULGENCED PRAYER TO BE SAID AT THE BEGINNING OF MASS
Eternal Father, I unite myself with the intentions and affections of Our Lady of Sorrows on Calvary, and I offer Thee the Sacrifice which Thy beloved Son Jesus made Himself on the cross and which He now renews on this Holy altar: 1. To adore Thee and give Thee the honor which is due to Thee, confessing Thy supreme dominion over all things, and the absolute dependence of every thing upon Thee, who art our one and last end. 2. To thank Thee for innumerable benefits received. 3. To appease Thy justice, aroused against us by so many sins, and to make satisfaction for them. 4. To implore grace and mercy for myself, for … for all afflicted and sorrowing, for poor sinners, for all the world, and for the holy souls in purgatory. Indulgence of 300 days.

MEDITATION BEFORE MASS
The late Pope Pius X, wrote; “Don’t pray at Holy Mass, but pray the Holy Mass.” Explaining himself further, His Holiness set forth: “The Holy Mass is a prayer itself, even the highest prayer that exists. It is the Sacrifice, dedicated by our Redeemer at the cross, and repeated every day on the altar. If you wish to hear Mass as it should be heard, you must follow with eye, heart and mouth all that happens at the altar. Further you must pray with the priest the Holy words said by him in the name of Christ ad which Christ says by him. You have to associate your heart with the holy feelings which are contained in these words and in this manner you ought to follow all that happens at the altar. When acting in this way YOU HAVE PRAYED THE HOLY MASS.”
After the Mass, THE ROSARY is the most powerful prayer.
WHY DO WE NEED TO PRAY?
BECAUSE Our Lady of Fatima Said
1.    IMMODEST FASHIONS: *Certain fashions will be introduced that will offend My son very much!* (Our Lady said this in 1917!)
2.    HELL: *More souls go to hell because of sins of the flesh than for any other reason!* (Sins against the 6th Commandment.)
3.    MARRIAGES: *Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God.*
4.    PUNISHMENT OF THE WORLD: *The Blessed Mother can no longer restrain the Hand of Her Divine Son from striking the world with just punishment for its many crimes.*
5.    FIVE WARNINGS: *If my requests are not granted, Russia will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be destroyed!* (Remember, Our Lady told us this in 1917!)
6.    AMEND: *I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not continue to offend Our Lord Who is already deeply offended.*
7.    ROSARY: *Say the Rosary every day, to obtain peace for the world. Add after each decade the following prayer: Oh My Jesus, forgive us for our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls into heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.*
8.    PRAY: *Pray, pray a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because they have no one to make sacrifices and pray for them.*

John Haffert, in an interview with Sister Lucia, asked regarding the principal request of Our Lady.
Sister Lucia answered: “Sacrifice”.
“And what do you mean by ‘sacrifice’? asked John Haffert.
“By ‘sacrifice’ Our Lady said that She meant the faithful fulfillment of one’s daily duty,” answered Sister Lucia.

9.    SACRIFICE: Our Lord appeared to Lucy in 1943. He complained bitterly and sorrowfully that there are so few souls fulfilling Our Lady’s requests saying: *The sacrifice required of every person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observance of My Laws! This is the penance I now seek and require!*
10.    IMMCULATE HEART DEVOTION: *God wishes to establish in the world the devotion to MY IMMACULATE HEART: If people what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.*
11.    WORLD PEACE: *Tell everybody God gives graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Tell them to ask graces from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Lord had confided the peace of the world to her.*
12.    WAR: *War is a punishment from God for sins!*
13.    FINAL PEACE: *In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace!*
14.    1ST SATURDAY DEVOTION: *I promise to help at the hour of death, with graces needed for salvation, whoever, on the first Saturday of 5 consecutive months, shall confess and receive Holy Communion, recite 5 decades of Rosary, and keep me company for 15 minutes, while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary with the intention of making reparation to My Immaculate Heart.*
15.    ST. JOSEPH: *The only Saint who appeared at Fatima besides Our Lady. St. Joseph held the Child Jesus in his arms and blessed the 70,000 people three times, it is he whom it has been said: *The sound of victory will be heard when the faithful recognize the sanctity of St. Joseph.*

TRUE DEVOTION TO MARY THE HAIL MARY
    Every Christian should have a great love for praying the Hail Mary, the Angelic Salutation. In fact though they are Christians, no matter how enlightened and knowledgeable, the merits and the marvelous value of the Hail Mary they do not know the need for praying this Hail Mary often.
    Our Lady had to appear several times to great Saints such as St. Dominic and Blessed Alan, to show them the riches of this prayer. They have written many books about the wonders and the power of the Hail Mary for the conversion of sinners.
    They have loudly proclaimed and publicly preached that since the salvation of the world began with the Hail Mary, the salvation of each one of us was bound up in the prayer. They have declared it a prayer that caused the dry and barren earth to yield the Fruits of Life. They have said that the same prayer, well said, will make the word of God take root and grow in our souls, and bear that Fruit of Life, Jesus Christ. They have declared that the Hail Mary is the dew of Heaven that waters the earth, the soul and makes it bear its fruit in time, and they have declared that a soul not watered by that dew brings forth only weeds, and is in danger of eternal punishment in Hell.
    Our Lady appeared one day to Blessed Alan and said to him, ‘Know my son, and understand, and make it known to all, that it is an almost certain sign for eternal punishment in Hell for those to have no love for or are indifferent to the Hail Mary or neglect it. It is the prayer that brightens the world.
    It is common knowledge that those who face eternal doom, the impious, the worldly, the heretics and atheists will hate and despise the Hail Mary and also the Rosary.
    Heretics still recite the Our Father, but not the Hail Mary. Nor do they say the Rosary. They would rather carry a poisonous snake with them than the Rosary. The proud, even though they are Catholics, are like their father, Lucifer. They will despise the Hail Mary or look upon it with indifference. They believe the Rosary is good only to keep silly women busy or to give the ignorant and illiterate something to do with their time.
    It is common knowledge also that those who show any signs of holiness, love the Hail Mary and pray it devoutly and fondly. The more close they come to God, the more they love this angelic greeting. Our Lady said as much to Blessed Alan after telling him about eternal punishment in Hell.
    I do not know why this is, but I do know it is true. And I know no better way of learning whether or not a person loves God than to learn first if he loves the Hail Mary, and the rosary of Hail Marys. One may find it impossible to say the Rosary, but he may still love it, and inspire others to pray the Rosary.
    Chosen souls who love Jesus in Mary, know that the Hail Mary is, after Our Father, the most beautiful of all prayers.
    The Rosary is the most perfect compliment we can pay to Mary, since it is the compliment God paid her, through His Archangel. He sent his shining messenger Gabriel, to win her heart. And Gabriel’s greeting so moved that beautiful heart, through the secrets it contains, that Mary in spite of her humility, consented to become the Mother of God.
    By this compliment you also, my dear friends, will win Mary’s heart. This without fail, provided you pray it properly and devotedly.
    The Hail Mary, prayed with attention, devotion, love and humility is the enemy of the devil. It outs the devil to flight. It is the hammer which crushes him. It is the sanctification of souls, the joy of angels, the song of love of chosen ones, the melody of the New Testament, the perfect joy of Mary and the glory of the Holy Trinity.
    The Hail Mary is like dew from Heaven that brings fruit to the field of the soul. It is a pure and loving kiss. It is a RED rose, a shining Pearl one offers to Mary. It is a mixture of Milk and Honey one gives to her to drink.
    All those comparisons are from the Saints.
    I beg you, therefore, through the love I bear you in Jesus and Mary, not to be satisfied with a minimum of Hail Marys. PRAY the little Crown of Our Lady but Pray your Rosary too. I mean pray the 15 mysteries of the Holy Rosary. Pray them every day. I can assure you that at the hour of your death you will bless the hour you accepted my advice.
    If you have sown the blessings of Jesus and Mary in your soul, blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. You will reap eternal blessing in Heaven. ‘He who sows bountifully will reap bountifully.’
Pope John Paul II usually leads the recitation of the Rosary on Vatican Radio on the first Saturday of each month.
    Even though the Holy Father John Paul II who is so busy, he prays the 15 Mysteries of the Holy Rosary every day. He prays the Joyful Mysteries in the morning and, the Sorrowful Mysteries in the afternoon and Glorious Mysteries in the evening. Therefore he expects everyone of us to pray at least Five Decades of the Holy Rosary every day.

PRAYER TO JESUS
    Jesus, my love, my God, let me speak to You. Let me thank You for giving me to Mary as her slave. You gave her to me as my advocate with You and my universal support in my extreme misery. My misery is great. Alas, Lord, I am such a wretch that I would be lost without her. I need her. I need her with You. I need her at all times. I need her to avert, Your anger from me, for I offend You every day. I need her to fend off the punishments I deserve from You. I need her to look at You, to speak to You, to pray to You, to go to You, to please You. I need her to save my soul. Mine and others. I need her to do Your will and seek Your glory in all things.
    Ah, if I could only tell the whole universe about Your mercy to me! If I could only let the world know how lost I should be without Mary! If only I could thank You properly for so divine a blessing!
    Mary is in me. Mary was made for me. She is my treasure, my comfort. Can I not be all hers? O my Savior, how awful if I could not! Rather let me die than suffer such misfortune. I would rather not live than not belong entirely to her.
    Like St. John at the foot of the cross I have taken her for my own. Thousands of times. And thousands of times I have given her myself. If I have not yet done it as You require, Jesus, let me do it now. If you see in  me, body and soul, anything that does not belong to her, my queen, take it out and dispose of it. If it is not Mary’s it is not worthy of You.
    Holy Ghost, plant, tend, and nourish in me the Tree of Life, Your pure love, Mary. Make it blossom and bear the Fruit of Life. Give me a devotion to Mary, so that, in her, I may be made into the perfect likeness of Jesus, in all His stature and might, unto the fullness of his age. Amen.

OUR LADY OF THE MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT

CONSECRATION TO JESUS CHRIST, THE INCARNATE WISDOM, THROUGH THE HANDS OF MARY
    O eternal, incarnate Wisdom, loveable, adorable Jesus, only begotten Son of the Father and of Mary ever Virgin, I adore you profoundly in the bosom and the splendor of Your Father, in eternity, and in the virgin womb of Mary during the time of Your Incarnation.

THE QUEENSHIP OF MARY
    On the 11th October 1954, Pope Pius XII established the feast of the Queenship of Mary to be celebrated throughout the world on 31st May and command that on that day each year, the world should renew its consecration to her.
    “The purpose of the feast is that all may recognize more clearly and venerate more devoutly the merciful and motherly sovereignty of her who bore God in her womb.” (Pius XII, Ad. Coeli Reginam)
    On the day of her Assumaption, Mary our Mother was solemnly crowned by Christ and received by the whole court of Heaven as Queen.
    What Christ has done in Heaven and the Church has done on our behalf we should now do individually, that is, we should recognize Mary’s Queenship, enthrone her in our homes, consecrate ourselves to her and, by this means, establish in our lives the reign of Mary Immaculate Queen of the Universe.
    HOW TO ENTHRONE MARY IMMACULATE QUEEN IN YOUR HOME AND CONSECRATE YOUR FAMILY TO HER.
    The statue or picture may be blessed; If convenient, ask a Priest to perform the ceremony, otherwise the head of the family can do it. Prepare her altar with flowers and candles, giving her an honoured place in your home where all will see her and often pray to her.

Act of Contrition; 3 Hail Marys; 3 Glorias; 3 times the invocation ‘Mary Immaculate Queen, Triumph and Reign; followed by the Act of Consecration.



PRAYER
O Mary Immaculate Queen, look down upon this distressed and suffering world. Thou knowest our misery and our weakness. O Thou who art our Mother, saving us in the hour of peril, have compassion on us in these days of great and heavy trial.
    Jesus has confided to Thee the treasure of His Grace, and through Thee He wills to grant us pardon and mercy. In these hours of anguish, therefore, Thy children come to Thee as their hope.
    We recognize the Queenship and ardently desire Thy triumph.

JESUS ASKS FOR NINE FIRST FRIDAYS AND FIRST SATURDAYS
In a Message of Jesus Christ to Sister Natalia in Hungary, He requests all to pray the Double Great Novena to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary for nine consecutive First Fridays and First Saturdays.
    All know about the devotion of the nine consecutive First Fridays. Few know about the Five Consecutive First Saturdays. And very few now know about the Nine Consecutive First Fridays and Nine Consecutive First Saturdays.
    As in Paray-le-Monial, France and Fatima, a private revelation to Sister Natalia received the Imprimatur from the local bishop in Hungary.
    Jesus: “As the Father entrusted all things to Me, so I give My victorious power over the world and sin to the Immaculate Heart to My Mother.
    “Through My daughter (Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque), I gave the world great promises, but because of My Infinite Goodness, now, I give much more. If people wish to gain the benefits of My promises, they must love and venerate the Immaculate Heart of My Mother. The greatest sign of this veneration will be to receive Holy Communion on Nine Consecutive First Saturdays, and in the same way, on Nine Consecutive First Fridays, after a preparation and a true repentance. Their intentions must be to console My Heart and, at the same time, the Immaculate Heart of My Mother.”
    Sister Natalia: “When Our Lord told me the first time about these First Saturdays, I did not realize that the Blessed Virgin at Fatima asked for only Five First Saturdays, in comparison with the Nine First Saturdays mentioned in the Messages I received. Consequently, the authorities of the Church wanted me to ask the Savior why He asked for nine, while Mary asked for only five. The Divine Savior replied: “The request of My Mother for Five Saturdays is a sign of Her humility and consequently, She did not consider Herself worthy of receiving a devotion that is equal to Mine. My request is a sign of My love, I cannot bear the idea of demanding more for Me than for My Mother who is united with Me in love.”
    “Hence, I understood that Jesus would have us make us reparation for Nine Saturdays because He had demanded for Himself, to Saint Margaret Mary, Nine First Fridays.”

To make a good Novena, follow these suggestions:
1.    Prepare yourself with true repentance, if possible go to Confession.
2.    Receive Holy Communion on both days (First Friday and First Saturday).
3.    The intentions of the Novena must be “to console My Heart and, at the same time, the Immaculate Heart of My Mother.”



















THE 33 PROMISES OF JESUS TO THOSE WHO MAKE THE DOUBLE GREAT NOVENA
1.    All that they demand through the Heart of My Mother, provided that their requests are compatible with the Will of the Father, I will grant them during the Novena.
2.    They will experience in every circumstance the extraordinary assistance of My Mother as well as Her blessings.
3.    Peace, harmony and love will reign in their souls and the souls of the members of their families.
4.    I will protect their families from scandals, disappointments and injustice.
5.    Married couples will remain together, and if one of the spouses left the home, he or she will come back.
6.    The members of their families will understand each other and persevere in Faith.
7.    Expectant mothers will experience the special protection of My Mother and receive what they demand for themselves and their children.
8.    The poor will receive shelter and food.
9.    I will lead them to love prayer and suffering. They will learn to love God and their neighbors.
10.    The sinners will be converted without difficulty, even through somebody else makes this Novena for them.
11.    The sinners will not fall back to their previous state. They will not only receive forgiveness for their sins, but also a perfect contrition and, through love, they will recover the innocence of their Baptism.
12.    Those who make this novena in the state of the innocence of their Baptism (particularly the children) will not offend My Heart by a grave fault until the time of their death.
13.    The sinners who sincerely repent will not only escape Hell but also Purgatory.
14.    The lukewarm will become fervent believers; they will persevere and each perfection and saintliness in no time.
15.    If parents or other members of a family make this novena, no member of that family will be condemned to Hell.
16.    Many young will be called to a religious life, including the priesthood.
17.    Unbelievers will become believers, and those who wander without direction (Catholics who broke away) will return to the Church.
18.    Priests and religious will remain faithful to their vocation. The infidel will receive the grace of a sincere contrition and the possibility of returning to one’s vocation.
19.    Parents and leaders will receive assistance for their spiritual and material needs.
20.    The body will be freed from the temptations of the world and from sin.
21.    The proud and the arrogant will become humble; the temperate will be burning with love.
22.    Fervent souls will experience the sweetness of prayer and sacrifice; they will never be tormented by anxiety or doubt.
23.    The dying will depart this world without agony and without the attacks of Satan.
24.    The dying will experience an immense desire for eternal life. So they will surrender to My Will and depart this life in the arms of My Mother.
25.    They will experience the extraordinary protection of My Mother on the day of the Last Judgement.
26.    They will receive the grace of sharing and relieving My suffering and that of My Mother.
27.    Those who endeavor to be perfect will be obtain, as a privilege, the main virtues of My Mother: humility, love and purity.
28.    They will be accompanied by peace and certain inner and external joy during all their lives, whether they are sick or healthy.
29.    The priests will receive the grace of living in the presence of My Mother without effort.
30.    Those who progress with me in unity will receive the grace of experiencing this unity. They will know what it means: it does not mean that they will live longer, but that I will live within them. That is to say: I will love with their hearts, I will pray with their souls, I will speak with their tongues, I will serve with all their beings. They will experience that which is good, beautiful, holy, humble, simple, obedient, precious and admirable within them; it is Me. Me, the Almighty, the Infinite, the only Lord, the only Love.
31.    The souls of those who make this novena will be as radiant as the white lilies all around the Heart of My Mother in eternity.
32.    I, the Divine Lamb of God, united with My Father and the Holy Spirit, will always rejoice at seeing these souls who, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, will obtain the glory of eternity.
33.    The souls of the priests will always progress in the Faith and Virtue.

The greatest promise of Mary;
“The gates of Hell will be closed on the First Saturdays of each month. Nobody will go to Hell on those days. However, the gates of Purgatory will be open. So, many souls will be able to reach Heaven.

It is the result of the merciful Love of My Son – it is the reward of these souls who venerate My Immaculate Heart.”

Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy for ever and ever. Amen.

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode off Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from it. We beg this grace of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son for the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. FOURTH DAY
“Today bring to Me THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD AND DOES WHO DO NOT YET KNOW ME. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy.”
My compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do  not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.


FIFTH FRIDAY
“Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO HAVE SEPERATED THEMSELVES FROM MY CHURCH, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is My Church. As they return to unity with the Church My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion.”
Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son’s Church, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passions, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.

SIXTH DAY
“Today bring to Me THE MEEK AND HUMBLE SOULS AND THE SOULS OF LITTLE CHILDREN and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels, who will keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble soul is capable of receiving My grace. I favour humble souls with My confidence.”
Most Merciful Jesus, You yourself have said, “Learn from Me for I am a meek and humble of heart.” Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humbles souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy and they are the heavenly Father’s favourites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart, O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy.


Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek souls, upon humble souls, and upon little children who are enfolded in the abode which is the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of Mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.

SEVENTH DAY
“Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ESPECIALLY VENERATE AND GLORIFY MY MERCY, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my Passion and entered most deeply into My spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death.”
Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and advertises they go forward, confident of Your mercy; and united to You, O Jesus, they carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the soul who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy, and their hearts, overflowing with joy, sing a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God: Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them that during their life, but especially at the hour of death, the souls who will venerate this fathomless mercy of His, He Himself, will defend as His glory. Amen.

EIGHTH DAY
“Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer to them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice.”
Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus, I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His Most sacred Soul was flooded; Manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just Scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Amen.

NINTH DAY
“Today bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: “Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.” For them the last hope of salvation is to run to My  mercy.”

Most Compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardour of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing I beyond Your power.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy. Amen.

NOVENA TO THE HOLY GHOST
Come, O Holy Ghost, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love. Send forth Thy spirit and they shall be created, and Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. Oh God Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Ghost, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise and to ever rejoice in His consolations, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
The novena to the Holy Ghost is the oldest novena, first made at the direction of Our Lord when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Ghost on the First Pentecost. It is the only novena officially prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light, strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian. To encourage devotion to the Holy Ghost, the Church has enriched this novena with indulgences.
The faithful who devoutly assist at the public novena in honor of the Holy Ghost immediately preceding the feast of Pentecost may gain an indulgence of 10 years on any day of the novena, and a Plenary indulgence, if they take part in at least five of the exercises; and moreover go to Confession, and receive Holy Communion and pray for the Holy Father’s intentions.
Those who make a private novena in honor of the Holy Ghost, either before Pentecost or at any other time in the year may gain an Indulgence of 7 years on any day of this novena, and a Plenary is held , this indulgence is available only to those who are lawfully hindered from being part in the same.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
(To be recited daily during the Novena)
On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witness I offer myself, soul and body to You, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Your purity, the unerring keenness of Your justice, and the might of Your love. You are the Strength and Light of my soul. In You I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve You by unfaithfulness to grace and I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against You. Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I may always watch for Your Light, and listen to Your voice, and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You and give myself to You, by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced Feet of Jesus and looking at His Five Wounds, and trusting in His Precious Blood and adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart, I implore You, Adorable Spirit, Helper of my infirmity, to keep me in Your grace that I may never sin against You. Give me grace O Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Father and the Son to say to You always and everywhere, “Speak Lord for Your servant hears.” Amen.

O Lord Jesus Christ Who, before ascending into heaven did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish Your work in the souls of Your Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me that He may perfect in my soul, the work of Your grace and Your love. Grant me the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with You and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, and the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. The Holy Spirit
Only one thing is important – eternal salvation. Only one thing, therefore, is to be feared – sin. Sin is the result of ignorance, weakness, and indifference. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Light, of Strength, and of Love. With His sevenfold gifts He enlightens the mind, strengthens the will, and inflames the heart with love of God. To ensure our salvation we ought to invoke the Divine Spirit daily, for “The Spirit helps our infirmity. We know not what we should pray for, as we ought. But the Spirit Himself asks for us.”

Almighty and eternal God, Who hast vouchsafed to regenerate us by water and the Holy Spirit, and hast given us forgiveness all sins, vouchsafe to send forth from heaven upon us your sevenfold Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Fortitude, the Spirit of Knowledge and Piety, and fill us with the Spirit of Holy Fear. The Gift of Fear
The gift of Fear fills us with a sovereign respect for God, and makes us dread nothing so much as to offend Him by sin. It is a fear that arises, not from the thought of Hell, but from sentiments of reverence and filial submission to our Heavenly Father. It is the fear that is the beginning of wisdom, detaching us from worldly pleasures that could in any way separate us from God. “They that fear the Lord will prepare their hearts, and in His sight will sanctify their souls.”
Prayer
Come, O blessed Spirit of Holy Fear, penetrate my inmost heart, that I may set you, my Lord and God, before my face forever, help me to shun all things that can offend You, and make me worthy to appear before the pure eyes of Your Divine Majesty in heaven, where You live and reign in the unity of the ever Blessed Trinity, God world without end. Amen.

The Gift of Piety
The gift of Piety begets in our hearts a filial affection for God as our most loving Father. It inspires us to love and respect for His sake persons and things consecrated to Him, as well as those who are vested in His authority, His Blessed Mother and the Saints, the Church and its visible Head, our parents and superiors, our country and its rulers. He who is filled with the gift of Piety finds the practice of his religion, not a burdensome duty, but a delightful service. Where there is love, there is no labour.
Prayer
Come, O Blessed Spirit of Piety, possess my heart. Enkindle therein such a love for God, that I may find satisfaction only in His service, and for His sake lovingly submit to all legitimate authority. Amen.

The Gift of Fortitude
By the gift of Fortitude the soul is strengthened against natural fear, and supported to the end in the performance of duty. Fortitude imparts to the will an impulse and energy which move it to undertake without hesitancy the most arduous tasks, to face dangers, to trample under foot human respect, and to endure without complaint the slow martyrdom of even lifelong retribution. “He that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved.”

Come, O Blessed Sprit of Fortitude, uphold my soul in time of trouble and adversity, sustain my efforts after holiness, strengthen my weakness, give me courage against all the assaults of my enemies, that I may never be overcome and separated from Thee, my God and greatest Good. Amen.

The Gift of Knowledge
The gift of Knowledge enables the soul to evaluate created things at their true worth – in their relation to God. Knowledge unmasks the pretense of creatures, reveals their emptiness, and points out their only true purpose as instruments in the service of God. It shows us the loving care of God even in adversity, and directs us to glorify Him in every circumstance of life. Guided by its light, we put first things first, and prize the friendship of God beyond all else. “Knowledge is a fountain of life to him that possesses it.”
Prayer
Come, O Blessed Spirit of Knowledge, and grant that I may perceive the will of the Father; show me the nothingness of earthly things, that I may realize their vanity and use them only for Thy glory and my own salvation, looking ever beyond them to Thee, and Thy eternal rewards. Amen.

The Gift of Understanding
Understanding, as a gift of the Holy Spirit, helps us to grasp the meaning of the truths of our holy religion. By faith we know them, but by Understanding we learn to appreciate and relish them. It enables us to penetrate the inner meaning of revealed truths and through them to be quickened to newness of life. Our faith ceases to be sterile and inactive, but inspires a mode of life that bears eloquent testimony to the faith that is in us; we begin to “walk worthy of God in all things pleasing, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
Prayer
Come, O Spirit of Understanding, and enlighten our minds, that we may know and believe all the mysteries of salvation; and may merit at last to see the eternal light in Thy Light; and in the light of glory to have a clear vision of Thee and the Father and the Son. Amen.

The Gift of Counsel
The gift of Counsel endows the soul with supernatural prudence, enabling it to judge promptly and rightly what must be done, especially in difficult circumstances. Counsel applies the principles furnished by Knowledge and Understanding to the innumerable concrete cases that confront us in the course of our daily duty as parents, teacher, public servants, and Christian citizens. Counsel is supernatural common sense, a priceless treasure in the quest of salvation. “Above all these things, pray to the Most High, that He may direct thy way in truth.”
Prayer
Come, O Spirit of Counsel, help and guide me in all ways, that I may always do Thy holy will. Incline my heart to that which is good; turn it away from all that is evil, and direct me by the straight path of Thy commandments to that goal of eternal life for which I long.

The Gift of Wisdom
Embodying all the other gifts, as charity embraces all the other virtues, Wisdom is the most perfect of the gifts. Of wisdom it is written “all good things came to me with her, and innumerable riches through her hands.” It is the gift of Wisdom that strengthens our faith, fortifies hope, perfects charity, and promotes the practice of virtue in the highest degree. Wisdom enlightens the mind to discern and relish things divine, in the appreciation of which earthly joys lose their savor, whilst the Cross of Christ yields a divine sweetness according to the words of the Savior: “Take up thy cross and follow me, for my yoke is sweet and my burden light.”
Prayer
Come, O Spirit of Wisdom, and reveal to my soul the mysteries of heavenly things, their exceeding greatness, power and beauty. Teach me to love them above and beyond all the passing joys and satisfactions of earth. Help me to attain them and possess them forever. Amen.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit
The gifts of the Holy Spirit perfect the supernatural virtues by enabling us to practice them with greater docility to divine inspiration. As we grow in the knowledge and love of God under the direction of the Holy Spirit, our service becomes more sincere and generous, the practice of virtue more perfect. Such acts of virtue leave the heart filled with joy and consolation and are known as Fruits of the Holy Spirit. These Fruits in turn render the practice of virtue more attractive and become a powerful incentive for still greater efforts in the service of God, to serve Whom is to reign.
Prayer
Come, O Divine Spirit, fill my heart with Thy heavenly fruits, Thy charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, faith, mildness, and temperance, that I may never weary in the service of God, but by continued faithful submission to Thy inspiration may merit to be united eternally with Thee in the love of the Father and the Son. CONSECRATION

If pregnant mother prays this novena between 7 – 15 September, Our Lady promises to help with the birth of the child. God is my Father
    My Father in Heaven, how sweet it is to know that You are my Father and that I am Your child!
    Especially when the skies of my soul are cloudy and my cross weighs more heavily, I feel the need to repeat to You: Father, I believe in Your love for me!
    Yes, I believe that You are a Father to me at every moment of my life, and that I am Your child!
I believe that You love me with an infinite love!
I believe that You are watching over me night and day and that not a hair falls from my head without Your permission.
I believe that, in Your infinite Wisdom, You know better than I what is good for me.

PRAYER FOR OUR BISHOPS AND OUR PRIESTS
Lord Jesus, you have chosen your Bishops and your Priests from among us and sent them out to proclaim your word and to act in your name. For so great a gift to your Church, we give you praise and thanksgiving. We ask you to fill them with fire of your love, that their ministry may reveal your presence in the Church.
Since they are earthen vessels, we pray that your power shines out through their weaknesses. In their afflictions let them never be crushed; in their doubts never despair; in temptation never be destroyed; in persecution never be abandoned.
Inspire them through prayer to live each day the mystery of your dying and rising. In times of weaknesses send them your Spirit, and help them to praise your heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the same Holy Spirit put your word on their lips and your love in their hearts, to bring good news to the poor and healing to the broken-hearted.
And may the gift of Mary your mother, to the disciples whom you loved, be your gifts to our Bishops and our Priests. Grant that she who form them in your divine image, by the power of your Spirit, to the glory of God the Father.

HOLY WATER is a Sacramental that remits venial sin. Because of the blessing attached to it, Holy Church strongly urges its use upon Her children, especially when dangers threaten, such as fire, storms, sickness and other calamities. Every Catholic home should have always in it a supply of Holy Water.

DISPEL THE DEVILThe devil hates holy water because of its power over him. He cannot long abide in a place or near a person that is often sprinkled with this blessed water.

Your Cross
THE everlasting God has in His wisdom foreseen from eternity the cross that He now presents to you as a gift from His inmost Heart. This cross He now sends you He has considered with His all-knowing eyes, understood with His Divine mind, tested with His wise justice, warmed with loving arms and weighed with His own hands to see that it be not one inch too large and not ounce too heavy for you.     O my Jesus, I love you over and above everything! For the love of you I am sorry for all my sins. O merciful love, I ask pardon for the sins of the world.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS

O Jesus, our Good Shepherd, bless all our parishes with numerous priests, deacons, men and women in religious life, consecrated laity and missionaries, according to the needs of the entire world, which You love and wish to save. We especially entrust our community to you; grant us the spirit of the first Christians, so that we may be a cenacle of prayer, in loving acceptance of the Holy Spirit and His Gifts. Assist our pastors and all who live a consecrated life. Guide the steps of those who have responded generously to your call and are preparing to receive holy orders or to profess the evangelical counsels. Look with love so on many well-disposed young people and call them to follow you. Help them to understand that you alone can they attain to complete fulfillment. To this end we call on the powerful intercession of Mary Mother and model of all vocations. We beseech you to sustain our faith with the certainty that the Father will grant what you have commanded us to ask.

THE THREE HAIL  MARYS
    Our Lady revealed to St. Melchtilde (13th century), and St. Gertrude the Great, that those who recite DAILY THREE HAILL MARYS followed by this invocation: for morning: “O my Mother preserve me from mortal sin during this day,” for the evening: “O my Mother preserve from mortal sin this night”, will draw special graces during life and at the hour of death.
Many saints, including St. Alfonsus of Liguori, two great Franciscan saints, St. Leonard of Port-Maurice and St.Anthony of Padua ardently promoted this powerful practice.
GRANT THAT I MAY PRAISE THEE, HOLY VIRGIN, GIVE ME STRENGTH AGAINST THINE ENEMIES.

PRAYER OF ST.GERTRUDE THE GREAT
DICTATED BY OUR LORD, TO RELEASE MANY SOULS FROM PURGATORY EACH TIME IT IS SAID
    Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great, that the following prayer would release many Souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners which would alleviate the indebtedness accrued to them during their lives.
    “Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most precious blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.”
St. Gertrude the Great was born in Germany in 1263. She was a Benedictine Nun, and meditated on the Passion of Christ, which many times brought floods of tears to her eyes. She did many penances, and Our Lord appeared to her many times. Her holy Soul passed away in 1334. November 16 is her Feast Day.
Recite this prayer many times a day.

Prostrated at thy feet, and humiliated by my sins, but full of confidence in thee, O Mary! I beg thee to accept the petition my heart is going to make. It is for my last moments, Dear Mother I wish to request thy protection and maternal love so that in the decisive instant thou wilt do all thy love can suggest in my behalf.
To thee, O Mother of my soul, I consecrate THE LAST TWO HOURS of my life. Come to my side to receive my last breath and when death has cut the thread of my days, tell Jesus, presenting to Him my soul, “I LOVE IT”. That word alone will be enough to procure for me the benediction of my God and the happiness of seeing thee for all eternity.
I put my thrust in thee, my Mother and hope it will not be in vain.
O Mary! Pray for thy child and lead him to Jesus!
